James Gerald Crowther (1899–1973)

In the first half of the century, there were few scientists who wrote regularly for the daily newspapers, and few newspapers that had science columnists. James Gerald Crowther, a journalist writing for the Manchester Guardian, was one of the first professional science columnists.
