A devil is defecating into the mouth of Luther's opponent Johannes Cochlaeus; in turn, books are coming out of Cochlaeus's anus. A theologian, a monk, and a prince are raptly observing the bizarre spectacle, surrounded by dancing devils and a jester. A group of bystanders is turning away from the scene on account of the stench.
